1. Who we are
Thoromo Consulting (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2024/271444/07), 58 Koeberg Street, Witpoortjie, Roodepoort, 1724, is the responsible party under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) for personal information collected through thoromo.com and its trading brands Thoromo Media, Intsika Hosting (intsikahost.co.za), Hired&Hire (hiredandhire.com), Paving Cleaners (pavingcleaners.co.za) and QR Barista (qrbarista.com). A brand’s own privacy policy adds detail for that brand.

2. What we collect
- Contact and account details: name, business name, email, phone, physical/billing address, ID or company registration and VAT number where needed for invoicing or domain registration.
- Order and billing information: services ordered, invoices and payment history. Card payments are processed by PayFast. We do not store full card numbers.
- Service data: content you host with us, domain registrant data, QR code and scan statistics (without raw IP addresses on QR Barista), job adverts, CVs and applications on Hired&Hire.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and cookies, as recorded by our websites and hosting servers.
3. Why we use it
To quote, deliver, invoice and support our services; to register domains with registries; to process payments; to prevent fraud and abuse; to meet legal and tax obligations; and, with your consent or as an existing customer (with an opt-out in every message), to send you relevant updates.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only as needed with: PayFast (payments), domain registries and registrars (e.g. ZADNA/.co.za registry), network and connectivity providers, hosting and email providers, employers (when a job seeker applies on Hired&Hire), our professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it. Where information is processed outside South Africa we rely on section 72 of POPIA.
5. How long we keep it
For as long as you are a customer and afterwards for as long as tax and company law require (generally 5 years for financial records), then we delete or anonymise it.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including SSL encryption, access control, backups and up-to-date software. If a security compromise affects your information we will notify you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.
7. Your rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, object to processing, or withdraw consent, by emailing info@thoromo.com. You may complain to the Information Regulator: inforegulator.org.za, POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za.
8. Cookies
Our websites use essential cookies (for example to keep you logged in to a client area or cart) and may use analytics cookies. You can control cookies in your browser.
9. Changes
We may update this policy and will publish the new version on this page.
